ASA's Oxford Experience
The Oxford Experience by gives students a taste of life as an Oxford University undergraduate and the chance to discover the living, breathing culture of England for themselves. Students and staff live at Lady Margaret Hall, one of the University's 39 colleges, with the vibrant and bustling city of Oxford at their doorstep. The setting in one of Europe's most culturally rich cities provides ample adventure, while the program facilitates a wide range of activities and fantastic excursions.
Oxford is a magical place, feeling at once medieval, modern, and everything in between. The city's history stretches back to Roman times and gave rise to the English-speaking world's first university nearly 1000 years ago, which itself has nurtured many of the greatest minds and talents in the world. The gothic and Georgian stone architecture of the colleges that crowd the narrow streets make it feel like a place out of time, while the sophisticated shops, restaurants, and businesses reflect its bustling European cosmopolitanism. Every day there are concerts, plays, exhibitions, lectures, and other events, as the city supports a concentration of cultural activity to rival London. Oxford's location allows us to make many trips to the best sites both in London and the surrounding countryside, including Stonehenge, Bath, and Brighton.
As a student at The Oxford Experience, you will explore the wonders of Oxford and England while gaining the academic and residential experience to prepare you for college. The great friends you'll meet and the amazing things you'll learn, see, and do will make this summer adventure abroad one you'll cherish for a lifetime.
