ASA in Tarifa Activities

As part of the program fee, Spanish in España offers students the chance to participate in specialized activities that will take place in each town. These activities are generally held once or twice a week and students may select up to two activities throughout the month.

Cooking, Beach Adventure Sports, and Guitar will be offered in Tarifa. You will indicate your preferences on the homestay questionnaire. Please remember that we can only accommodate a limited number of students in some activities so be sure to submit your questionnaire as soon as possible after you receive it.

Apart from the scheduled activities, there will be other extracurricular activities such as, tennis tournaments, and beach volleyball that take place in all locations.

ASA in Tarifa Trips

Excursions to local places of interest will take place on Wednesdays and some Saturdays. There will be an overnight excursion to Granada. These trips will give you the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful places in Andalusia.

Granada

Spend a night at a resort in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Explore the magnificent Moorish city and the famous palace of La Alhambra. Málaga: Take a day trip to visit the Picasso museum, Cathedral and old town.

Marbella

Visit the glitzy capital of the Costa del Sol.

Gibraltar

Take a break and speak English for a day.

Bullfight

Experience Hemingway's favorite pastime and Spain's National Fiesta.

Combine intensive formal language instruction with real-life immersion in daily life and culture to help improve language skills while gaining an intimate knowledge of the host country’s culture. Choose from carefully selected locations to ensure you get the most from your summer. You will be treated as a special guest and take your language learning to an entirely different level for a truly authentic immersion experience.
